There are plenty of hiking trails around Payson to start getting in shape for the coming hunting season. The routes offer a variety of terrains and can be classified between easy to moderate in difficulty–perfect for working up to the rough country treks hunting requires.

The fall hunting seasons are not far away. With the big-game drawing being completed, most outdoorsmen know if they were fortunate enough to draw a deer, antelope, elk or sheep tag in one of the many Arizona hunts.
