Dissolved limestone seeping out of cracks in the ceiling of Kartchner Caverns State Park have created a fantasy landscape of rock formations in the past 100,000 years. The Mogollon Rim is made of similar layers of limestone, formed in the bottom of ancient oceans.
I am photographing this tree occasionally as I travel back and forth between Show Low and Payson, on my week-ends. Over time it will be interesting to see what develops.
Soaking trees were prime receptacles for the icy snow that followed the two days of continuous rain.
A small river of rain formed near Chapman Auto on W. Longhorn and caused many people to alter their driving habits just a bit during the rain and snow of last week, between Wednesday and Saturday, Jan. 20 thru Jan. 23.
