There will be a free group hike on Cypress Trail starting at 9 a.m., Saturday, March 6, so show up between 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. The Cypress Trail access is off of Granite Dells Road, 2 miles east of Hwy 260 on Granite Dells Road. There is limited parking, so participants should park on the side of the road where the shoulder allows on either side of the trail access. This four-mile roundtrip hike of moderately difficulty, with loose granite and some steep slopes in the first and last miles of the hike. Due to recent storms, please be prepared for running water and mud on the trail. Don’t forget your hiking boots, water and walking sticks! Pre-registration is preferred, but can be done on-site prior to the hike. Dogs must be on a leash or under verbal control of their owners.
