Lady Longhorn pitcher Mary Hagen was the mound ace during last year’s Gracie Haught Classic and will return this season as Payson’s No. 1 hurler.
Former Lady Longhorn first baseman Skye McNeeley applies a tag to a sliding Miami Vandal. Action took place during the 2009 Gracie Haught Classic Tournament. McNeeley was eventually chosen to the all-tournament team.

The gallery is also welcoming a new member to the cooperative, Pat Stacy. Get an Irish stew supper at Community Presbyterian Church between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., or get a bowl of chili at the Humane Society Thrift Store and green punch at Bootleg Alley. Stop by all the participating shops and look for a chance to buy raffle tickets to help Tonto Natural Bridge.
Mile High Running Club member Lance Chabot takes a break from running in the Ragnar Relay to enjoy a few winks and some well earned down time.
Volunteers rigged a pulley system to hoist the man out of the canyon. Two boulders were used as anchors with webbing wrapped around them and connected to a set of fours to float the anchor so the rope did not shred on the sharp rocks.
Help has arrived and this unfortunate man, stuck in the middle of a creek in Box Canyon will have to wait no more for assistance and rescue from fast moving water.
