Matt West always wanted to be in the Army. It wasn’t until he started working as an ER Tech at Payson Regional Medical Center that he knew he wanted to become an Army Medic. On March 30, West leaves for nine weeks of basic training at Fort Sill, Okla. Upon completion he will attend medic school at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas for 16 weeks of training.
