What is this strange and wary creature? It certainly is not native to Arizona, although it does live in North America, but generally not in the Southwest. It is a far traveler then, perhaps getting here not of its own accord. What is it? A soft shelled turtle. It has found decent habitat in the Rim Country, but where...? Hmm...
