Plan to shop early over the holiday weekend. There are some great sales planned. Visit the Time Out Thrift Shop where everything is 50 percent off both Friday and Saturday; get up to Pine where the Library Friends are having a book sale in the Library Activity Room at the Pine Community Center; make your way back to Historic Main Street where First Friday bargains can be found; and then make a stop at the Payson Farmers Market in the Sawmill Crossing Saturday morning before heading back up to Pine for the 31st Annual Fourth of July Arts & Crafts Festival at the Pine Community Center, presented by the Pine-Strawberry Arts & Crafts Guild. Once you have done all that shopping and running around, grab a lawn chair or blanket and plan on an evening at the Green Valley Park amphitheater and enjoying the Big Band sounds of the Terry McFee Orchestra.
