Chance Randall was one of the few Longhorns to get a base hit in the Horn baseball team’s 10-0 state opening round loss to Florence. After beating PHS, Florence lost to eventual state champion Blue Ridge in the second round.

No surprise baseball finals
It came as no surprise when Blue Ridge on May 14 whipped Estrella Foothills 8-6 in nine innings to win the 3A conference “state” baseball championship.
