Payson Art League member and artist Rock Newcomb will present a step-by-step slide show demonstration of his paintings at the group’s Tuesday, Oct. 18 meeting. His presentation will feature techniques and tricks used in the creation of his artwork. He obtains much of his inspiration and subject matter for his still life paintings from visiting museums, archaeological ruins and private collections of prehistoric and historic Native American artifacts. PAL meets at Rim Country Health & Retirement Community, 807 W. Longhorn, Payson. The public is invited. A “Show and Share” of members’ artwork and a social reception with light refreshments is from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., with the program presentation at 7 p.m. after a short business meeting.
