The unusually hot summer and less than productive monsoon season combined to do a number on Rim Country yards. Now is the time to repair the damage, possibly replacing high-maintenance grass with low-maintenance, Xeriscape-type ground cover. Experts say the fall is a good time to put in ground cover so it has a chance to get established.
