Payson’s Jason Amon won about $330 in the first go-round of the saddle bronc event, winning about $330 at the 128th World’s Oldest Continuous Rodeo held Aug. 17-19 at the Payson Event Center. “It’s all about how the horse bucks,” said Amon prior to the rodeo. From the look of things, Amon had a good ride with his horse throwing its heels up to the sky, Amon sticking his feet onto the horse’s flanks and throwing his hand in the air. Judges awarded Amon 69 points for a third-place finish.
