The Grand Lodge of Masons in Arizona recognized two local Masons at ceremonies held May 31 in Sedona. William Herzig, Past Master of Payson Masonic Lodge #70, was appointed as Grand Sword Bearer and will promote Masonry in Arizona at various ceremonies and cornerstone layings during the coming year. Tom Jones (pictured above), Past Master of Payson Lodge #70, was recognized as the Arizona Mason of the Year by the Grand Lodge. The local lodge was also awarded Grand Lodge recognition plaques for its monthly Trestle Board newsletter and for sustaining quality programs and membership involvement.
