The golden alga fish kill in the Salt River earlier this year has spread to Roosevelt Lake, killing threadfin and gizzard shad and may extend to other fish species.

An ongoing bloom of golden alga has continued to kill fish in Roosevelt Lake, biologists with the Arizona Game and Fish Department confirmed this week.
