Discuss your personal experience that’s most relevant to serving on the council. I believe I am the only Star Valley Council member that serves on a Payson board. I serve as a liaison to the Payson Area Advisory Youth Council. I had been impressed by the youth councils at the first League of Towns and Cities I attended. I thought it might be a good thing for Star Valley to have one as well. In turn, the kids said, why duplicate effort? We have Star Valley students on our council. It was an excellent suggestion which I worked to implement. Additionally I am liaison to the Chamber of Commerce and work to promote regional business success. This willingness to work with other towns and groups in an effort to support the entire Rim Country is my most relevant experience which serves both the council and the people I work for — the citizens of Star Valley.
Asked why she is seeking reelection, Paty Henderson said, “The Town of Star Valley is one of very few in the state that is on a sound financial footing. As a fiscal conservative, I would like to see that status remain in place. More importantly the people of Star Valley deserve representation that takes their view into account. I may sit on the council, but I work for the people.”
