Dog Day in the Park October 15, 2008
It was be bigger and better than ever this year, with great activities and events. Booths included the Barkery Bakery Bistro, Susie Q’s Barbecue, PAWS sweatshirts and Payson Humane Society micro-chipping and adoptable pets. KRIM Radio broadcast live during the event. Contests included Top Tail Wagger, Best Canine Vocalist, Clever Pet Tricks and a new event, Dress Like Your Working Partner where dog and owner dressed according to the work the dog was bred to do. Raffle tickets weree available for a quilt and gift basket. Guests had an opportunity to buy a section of fencing for the new shelter dog run. Tthe new shelter design was on display and donations were requested for the building fund. Food donations for the dogs and cats, puppies and kittens at the humane society were welcome additions to this wonderful event.

According to her owner, Tizzy likes to get dressed up and pose for pictures. Dog Day in the Park was held Saturday, Oct. 12 to help raise money for the Payson Humane Societies building fund.

Dog Day in the Park brought many visitors to spend some time and peruse the vendors and the many types of items offered; from dog training to medical attention, to animal assistance for getting in vehicles to photo booths for your pet, not to mention food and entertainment for people and pets.
