The hours leading up to the rodeo performances of the Gary Ready to Rodeo Hardt Memorial Spring Rodeo this weekend will not be calm and quiet. The Payson Event Center will be buzzing with activity as cowboys, clowns and livestock all make ready for the action in the arena. Contestants and livestock and almost everyone else involved in the rodeo spend more time on the highway than in the arenas as they travel from rodeo to rodeo all around the country. Parade Proud Interesting faces, beauty and great music were all part of the 2008 Main Event Rodeo Parade. Real Rodeo Rodeo action is exciting for the spectators, but it can get more than a little dangerous as evidenced by these scrambling bullfighters. The faces of real rodeo are young, old and in-between. They tell the story of hard work, patriotism, enthusiasm and anticipation. Look closely and you will also see a link to the heritage of the West and the United States.
