Eggstravaganza April 7, 2010
This year the egg scramble had a slight change of pace and venu. It was conducted at Green Valley Park, had a live band, a bounce house, a cake walk, picturs with the Easter bunny, different areas roped off for the different age groups of children and a sunny day.
Debbie Manelli guards the remaining donated cakes for the cake walk contest at the Eggstravaganza at Green Valley Park.
If you were hungry while at the Eggstravaganza you might have asked Cory Charom where he got that sandwich. Of course if you had won the cake walk it wouldn't have been a problem.
A variety of head gear was widely evident as easter baskets served double duty. Demitri Mustaca waits in line for a paste on tattoo and has shade while he waits.
Sheila Riggs explains how she arrived with the hat she wore as a Red Hat Lady to several friends and fellow hatters. Nice butterfly Sheila.
Mary Smith is 'dressed to the nines' as they said 'back in the day' when you were younger than me. Apparently the phrase has been around for a long time and refers to being as close to perfection as one can get.
Kaylee Boone has a nice pink basket as she playfully tries it on as a hat before getting it filled with assorted eggs.
Gordon Hansen takes another snapshot as two of his grand daughters wait in line to talk with the Easter Bunny and get their picture taken on his lap.
Havoc Roberts is living up to his name as he throws a tantrum and that din't get him what he wanted. You won that round, mom.
Cindy Kofile holds up the first cake to be awarded in the cake walk contest as the festivities at the Eggstravaganza got underway.
Grace Hopson scans the egg field and looks for a spot where she might garner the most treats as children and adults wait patiently for the first round of scrambling to get underway.
This squirrel apparently thought that getting into all the plastic eggs it could might be a real treat. Until it ingested all that sugar. It climbed to this perch and just layed there. Does anyone know if this creature is still alive? It sure wasn't moving very much when this image was recorded.

Question of the week
Do you think new Principal Anna Van Zile has a valid idea in eliminating the Asst. Principal and replacing it with an Athletic Director position that would share her duties as Principal?
