Why not the County Seat? If you review your tax bill against a like property down around Globe, you will find that your taxes are much higher than a like property in Globe. Go on line and check it out. Taxes here have more than doubled in the last few years, and the appraisals keep going up. I recommend that everyone file an appeal this year. Also look at how the county board draws the lines to ensure that the majority stays down south. That way they can control the purse strings. Bottom line, northern Gila County carries the load for Gila County so the County Seat should be here.

Shouldn't we just split and form our OWN county? Strawberry, Payson and Rye should provide plenty of taxation for a proper county.
Look at a map of Texas sometime and see how they structure their counties.
And driving 80 miles one way to Globe for jury duty is and always has been a sad joke.
Too bad the joke is ON US.

Look at how many people want us to be the county seat. You are on the losing side again. Ha
