Pat - I have a neighbor in the valley that has a teenage son and daughter. The whole family smokes pot on a regular basis. You know how the saying goes, "a family that smokes together goes to the dispensary together and all the munchies in the house are gone".
What next?
I'm not a pot head and I'm all for this. I know the benefits of this in comparison to say alcohol or tobacco. I've taken the time to do the research rather than sit back and listen to stereotypes.
First off, let me clarify I'm not for legalizing pot for recreation just medically. With that said, marijuana's been known to relieve pain, vomiting, etc for chronic and terminal conditions like Cancer or AIDS. It's also been known to boost the immune system for individuals with a severe illness. Of course, others with the same illness hadn't had any effect.
My point is, when it comes to marijuana being an option for those with medical problems I am all for it. I think an individual should be able to choose whether to have that option or not.
After watching 4 family members, in the past two years, succumb to cancer I got to see the terrible pain they endured and if marijuana will boost the quality of life for some of the people going through this, I can't say I'll oppose it.

There must be more pot heads here than I thought.
Surely there isn't that many people in pain that only marijuana will help.

If there are pot heads that are voting I am surprised that they can find the energy to even use the keys to vote!

Travis, What are the benefits without any comparison to anything?
