Fire information phone lines repaired

The Type 1 Southwest Fire Management Team Information Center phone lines have been repaired and operators are standing by to assist residents with questions about the Willow Fire or other fire incidents in the area.

The lines were down due to the Ponderosa Fire, which burn through fiber optic cables Wednesday.

The telephone number to the Type 1 Southwest Fire Management Team Information Center is (928) 468-1230.

The fire management team also has a website and e-mail available for information about the Willow Fire.

The Payson Police Department has opened a new phone line to provide the public with the most current information on the Willow Fire and any possible evacuation plans. Call (928) 474-5242, ext. 320.
