Claudia H. Downs, 78, of Eagar, died April 15, 2008 in Payson, after a long period of health problems. She was born July 17, 1929 in Midland, Mich.

She resided in Eagar for the last 20 years.

Mrs. Downs is survived by two daughters, Lilli Alcorn and Casey Downs, both of Eagar; son, James E. Downs, Jr. of Lakeside; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving Mrs. Downs are two little dogs that had been her constant companions, Ditto and Chuee.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Downs Sr.

Mrs. Downs was cremated by Messinger Payson Funeral Home. Per her request there will be no services.
