Oct. 27: Pancake Breakfast Fund-raiser, 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 27 at Mount Cross Lutheran Church, 601 E. Hwy. 260, Payson; hosted by Boy Scout Troop #354; $3/person, tickets may be purchased by contacting Lenore White, (928) 474-8306/leave a message or MaryLou McWilliams, (928) 474-3784.
Oct. 27: Swiss Village Octoberfest, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, Swiss Village Shops, Payson. Great sales and raffles, make and take craft projects for children, hay rides, petting zoo, fish pond, costume contest at 10:30 a.m. at stage area, carved pumpkin contest, food, antique car display and more.
Oct. 27-28: Pine Fall Festival, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 27 and 28, Pine Community Center, Pine, free admission.
The Fall Festival is a yearly family event filled with fun, excitement, relaxation, games, a flea market, music and entertainment. There will be pumpkin carving/drawing contest, greased pole climbing, silent auction, food vendors and more. Sponsored by Pine Strawberry Business Community.
Oct. 31: Trunk or Treat at Rumsey Park, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Collect candy and more from costumed volunteers at this special community event. Call (928) 474-5242, ext. 7 for details.

Nov. 2, 3 and 4: Payson Area Artists juried 'Neath the Rim fine art and fine craft show and sale, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, Nov. 2, $5 per person; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 3 and 4, free, at Tonto Apache Activity Center, Payson.
Nov. 3: Community Health & Care Fair 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Nov. 3, at Payson High School's old gym, sponsored by Payson Regional Medical Center, Mogollon Health Alliance and others. Free health screenings for all ages. Free admission.
Nov. 3: Dutch Oven Cooking Class, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Rumsey Park, $30, call (928) 474-5242, ext. 7 for details.
Nov. 10: High Country Holiday Bazaar, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Tonto Apache gym, sponsored by the Community Presbyterian Church 50-plus vendors will be selling hundreds of items -- everything from knitted items to fine inlaid wood, holiday ornaments, jewelry, scented soaps, candles and more; Presbyterian Women's Bake Sale; Santa Claus photos from 10 a.m. to noon; lunch by the church deacons from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with barbecue beef sandwiches and fresh Caesar salad, Arizona.
Nov. 10: Marine Corps Birthday Ball, starts at 5 p.m. at the Mazatzal Hotel & Casino, Payson; $25 per person. Nov. 11: Veterans Day Ceremonies at 3 p.m., Payson High School auditorium.
Nov. 13: 11th Annual Chili Supper for the Payson Humane Society, 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., Elks Lodge, 1206 N. Beeline Highway, Payson; $7 for adults, $4 for children.
In addition to the great dinner, there will also be a 50/50 raffle, quilt raffle, and silent auction.
Nov. 17: Turkey Trot 5K Run, 9 a.m., Green Valley Park amphitheater, $15 pre-registration fee, $20 race day registration fee. Call (928) 474-5242, ext. 7 for details.

Nov. 23 and 24: Holiday Lighting Festivities at Swiss Village. Shops open late hours. Food and entertainment. Santa arrives by fire truck at 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 23.
Nov. 24: Holiday Tree Lighting on Highway 260 in front of Legacy Home Furnishings.
December
Dec. 1: Tamales for Toys, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Payson Elks Lodge. Exchange a new, unwrapped toy for a plate of tamales, cash contributions also accepted. Donations are used for the Public Safety Christmas for Kids program.
Dec. 1: Magic on the Mountain Electric Light Parade on Main Street from Westerly Drive to Green Valley Park. For additional information and parade applications, call Cathy Boone at (928) 468-6074.
Dec. 7: Green Valley Park tree lighting, enjoy hayrides and Santa's Workshop, call (928) 474-5242, ext. 7 for details.
