Old Guy. 1946, the year of origin, July, 11; the month and day, at 6:15 a.m. Perhaps that explains the early morning personality. Always up before sunrise, getting a fast and early start to the day. So much to do, so little actual time, left. Average student in school. Average radio ops/air traffic controller in Air Force. Really good student in Photo-School. Bounced around to too many photo jobs after graduating. A rolling stone, for sure. Not gathering moss has it's disadvantages. Yes, there was much to learn and it was learned. But there is always a price to pay for the choices we make. After a certain wake-up call took place a new sense of purpose took hold. Some people wake up, shake themselves hard and dig in and begin life with a new sense of purpose. Some people roll over and never get up again, some people make the same mistake again and go through the rest of their lives repeating the same steps and still only getting the same result and then wonder "why?". Life was never the same. It got better. Of course, not right away, but it got better. There are still lessons that haven't been learned. There always will be that. For the most part, there has been much joy, excitement, and fulfillment with the choices that have been made since. This life has been well lived in the second half. May it continue to be so.

White Horse Moon. Last night the moon was at its closest point to the earth of the entire year; also known as its perigee (the point in the orbit of an object (as a satellite) orbiting the earth that is nearest to the center of the earth; also : the point nearest a planet or a satellite (as the moon) reached by an object orbiting it — ). This occurs on average every 412 days in the moon's elliptical orbit around the earth.
White on green. Morning light just before sunrise, is from certain perspectives, the best light of the day. This image may ilustrate that belief.
Valentine. So named because when she was born she had a brown patch on her that looked like a heart. It has since changed to just a brown patch on the white of her back. Darn
Four of several horses occasionally seen on a morning walk in Linden, AZ. Usually one carries treats in a pocket and if the horses are near the fence they receive said offerrings. Someone forgot this morning and it wasn't Brownie, a loyal, friendly four legged companion.

Question of the week
Do you think new Principal Anna Van Zile has a valid idea in eliminating the Asst. Principal and replacing it with an Athletic Director position that would share her duties as Principal?
