Question of the week
Do you think new Principal Anna Van Zile has a valid idea in eliminating the Asst. Principal and replacing it with an Athletic Director position that would share her duties as Principal?

I will be staying home, unless other plans develop before the 28th. All of that vehicular traffic scares me to death, Tom. Too many crazy drivers out there.

Pat,
I was speaking in a generality. I didn't mention religion intentionally. I mentioned Mormon in the sense that they are a group of people who, share the same ideals. I mention Mormon, also, because they have a candidate running in our 2012 election.
The same goes for blacks. Whatever their religion, they stuck by a black.

Tom,
Your #3 idea gets my attention. Do you suppose that Obama would have been elected if his Obamacare had been published in advance?
However, I feel that he will be reelected in 2012 because of his race. Remember what happened in the trial of a well known black ball player. In Los Angeles, he was voted innocent of murder, even after overwhelming evidence of his guilt was presented to an all black jury. My point is that the mass of blacks will vote for a black, no matter who he is. The Mormons will vote for a Mormon, etc.

“Other Ivy League schools have also been cracking down on fraternity and sorority culture.”
I agree with the wisdom of putting a damper on the partying and drinking. We should not ignore the reports of dangerous hazing and initiation which seem to be a part of the 'Greek Life'.

“….you do have a choice of surgeries, drugs and tests. You can refuse any of them. Read what you sign when you go into an ER or hospital or Drs. office. If there is something there you don't like draw a line thru it and initial it. They may not like it but they have never refused to treat me.”
I also have been drawing a line thru any part of a hospital or doctor's agreement, which I don't like, before I sign it. So far, it has worked to keep my charges within what my insurance will pay. I pay special attention to the financial responsibility statements. Good advice, Pat!

People living in a small community want to gain the respect of their neighbors. People who live in cities may never speak to their neighbor for years. So they could care less about what the neighbors think of them. Also, I think it's just makes a person feel good to know that they are honest, have sound values, and are pleasant with folks around them.
