Very well written...even if the solution is a little over the top. The province of Muggadugga needs martial law because there is no government and there is no security for the populace. Here we have faulty government and merely a cranky populace. Maybe the whole thing could be solved by something as simple as...drumroll...Term Limits!! Then the gutless wonders who serve in Congress could enact laws to solve the damn problem, without worrying how it was going to effect their chances for re-election. Simple, non? And nobody has to get shot. Just think, Mr. Garrett, if the solution you advocate was proposed by the Pres. or by the Gov. we'd call them fascists. and rightly so. Enjoy your new beret. At regular intervals I switch on the news and the scene flashes to someplace in Africa.
