Mormons and GCC / EAC

Its a good thing the Catholics , Rotarians, Harre Krishnas, Greenies, people that watch the Arizona Cardinals or Phoenix Suns, or Lutherans aren't the predominant religion in Graham County because a statement like the one you made about the Mormons, substituting another group in their place in a public forum like this, controlling things at EAC would be shall we say "inappropriate" . Mormons of Gila County agree with you that it is ridiculous that EAC gets a 25% cut of the everything at GCC. Was it a Mormon that consented to such a deal on either side?

Come on you two.... do you really think the Mormons sit around and think up such plots and conspiracies? We have far better things to do with our time. It would be kind of cool to be able to rename GCC Brigham Young University -Payson though don't you think?

Its a good thing Medical Marijuana passed so you guys can get legal now. Religion has nothing to do with this and you know it. Mormon Bashers wouldnt dare say that to a Mormons face. What you said is not courageous, its false and it should be removed not because we are offended, but because it makes you look stupid to leave it up where sane people can read your misguided comments.

I bet most Most if not all the Mormons in Payson also want GCC to be its own entity also so why would you say something like that? And if the ASU campus comes here, is GCC going to be relevant anyway? No Mormon has had anything to do with that have they........

Every Mormon in public Service since I have been in Payson for the last 12 years has had to hear this kind of Garbage. Cliff Potts, Gordy Gartner, Kenny Evans, Audry Harrison, LaRon Garrett, Kristy Ford, and others. None of them usually know what Church you go to when you deal with them in a public forum so what does it matter what they are?

These men and women all served Payson well compared to the Vern Stifflers and the other "sky is falling and turn off the Water and go back to where you came from Crowd". And not one of them has ever served or made a decision for the public office they held based on religion.

Maybe you are right in that the Mormons in Graham county are different and actually have the time and the "Mormon Voodoo Dolls" to meddle with the predominantly "Gentile" Northern Gila county but you are obviously more in tune with it than I am, I would probably retract your statement Mr. Evans.

Supervisor Dawson says it is a ‘drastic error’ for GCC to seek its independence

Gila Community College’s plan to break away from Eastern Arizona College and gain independence would be “one of the most drastic errors we can make,” Supervisor Shirley Dawson said at Tuesday’s board meeting.
