Bingo at Senior Center today

The Payson Senior Center and Payson Helping Payson host bingo every Friday at the Senior Center, 514 W. Main St.

Tickets go on sale at noon and games start at 1 p.m. Hot dogs are offered for 25 cents.

Payson Lioness Club

Payson Lioness Club will hold a monthly meeting, Saturday, Nov. 18 at 9 a.m. at the Green Valley Apartments conference room, 905 S. Mclane.

On Oct. 21, Payson Lioness with P.A.W.S. as co-sponsor held the 2nd annual “Dog’s Day Out” event. It was a tremendous success and a check for $2,000 was donated to Leader Dogs for the Blind.

Tai Chi and Qigong

Tai Chi and Qigong classes are offered at 9 a.m. Saturdays at Rim Country Health, 807 W. Longhorn Rd., Payson.

Archaeological Society has speaker

The Arizona Archaeological Society Rim Country Chapter meets at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 18 in the Fellowship Hall of the Church of the Holy Nativity, 1414 N. Easy St., Payson.

The speaker is Miles Gilbert, who will present “The 1881 Apache Uprising at Cibecue Creek.”

Library Friends host Donn Morris

The Library Friends of Payson invites the community to a program by artist and world traveler Donn C. Morris Monday, Nov. 20. He will share slides and sketches.

The presentation is in the library meeting room and will start with a short business meeting at 10 a.m.; the program begins at 10:30 a.m. The public is invited to both the business meeting and the free one-hour program.

Amnesty International shines a light on human rights in our community and throughout the world. The Payson chapter meets from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, at Payson United Methodist Church, 414 Easy St.

Order of the Eastern Star meets Nov. 20

The Ponderosa Chapter #64 O.E.S. meets at 7 p.m. the first and third Mondays at the Sy Harrison Masonic Lodge, 200 E. Rancho Rd., Payson. All Eastern Star members are invited to attend. Master Masons and all ladies with any Masonic affiliation or family members in Freemasonry are encouraged to join the group.

In addition to the meetings, the ladies gather at 10 a.m. every Wednesday for a fun game of O.E.S. Canasta.
