Rosemarie Dombrowski, a professor at ASU and the first Poet Laureate of Phoenix, together with her assistant Sophia McGovern, worked with sixth-grade students at Rim Country Middle School on writing micropoetry and making their own microzines before the end of the school year.

Dombrowski is the founding editor of rinky dink press, a publisher of poetry in microzine form.

The recent program was sponsored by the Arizona Professional Writers Rim Country Chapter.

The chapter’s Book Festival is Saturday, July 20 at the Mazatzal Hotel & Casino.
