About Payson Art League

The Payson Art League began in 1976 when a group of local artists united together for the purpose of improving, fostering and promoting art and art education in the Payson area. The first officers were elected in 1979. PAL was incorporated in 1981, and is a 50l(c)(3) not for profit organization.

Payson Art League is a friendly, dedicated group of artists and artisans in a variety of mediums who like to share their knowledge and techniques with others.

At PAL monthly meetings a demonstration or presentation from an artist, with a strong background in their respective medium, is offered free to members and guests.

PAL sponsors two shows each year: ’Neath the Rim Artists Studio Tour in May and the Fine Art and Craft Fall Show and Sale.

All artists, amateur and professional, as well as art lovers are invited to the meetings at the Payson Public Library, 328 N. McLane Road, at 6 p.m. the third Tuesday of every month.
