Adults and children alike grooved to the music as Sol DeVille kicked off the Payson Summer Concert Series at Green Valley Park Saturday night.

Hundreds of people brought either lawn chairs or blankets and several folks danced in front of the stage to the band’s mix of country, blues, R&B, soul, funk, pop and original music.

“We are constantly adding songs and have a nice variety of original interpretations and spot on covers,” they state on their website.

Sol DeVille is a four-piece band featuring Payson musicians John Scott (guitar/vocals) and Rick Hartfiel (drums), along with David Rowell (guitar/vocals), and Arnold Martinez (bass/vocals).

The free concerts in the park begin at 7 p.m. every Saturday in June and July.
