With the arrival of spring blooms, there is plenty of music to accompany them.

There are several concerts planned, plus an additional program to celebrate Easter later this month.

Sound Tapestry

Sound Tapestry, a classical guitar / flute duo, performs at the Payson Public Library, 328 N. McLane Road, at 4 p.m., Wednesday, April 3. Sound Tapestry performs classical, Latin, Celtic, popular and original tunes.

Jazzy First Friday

Jazz music by the Jazz Session Band is planned for First Friday at 5 p.m., Friday, April 5 at the Community Presbyterian Church, 800 W. Main St.

The band includes Gerry Reynolds, drummer; Larry Brasen, trumpet; Greg Larson, keyboard; Hawkeye Mathews, saxophone; Mike Buskirk, trombone; and John Hesterman, bass and vocals.

Hesterman will be singing “A Sunday Kind of Love,” “More,” “You Are Too Beautiful” and others.

Doors open at 4:30 p.m., and a $5 or more donation includes a dinner plate and drinks. Canned goods for the church food bank will be accepted.

Canadian a cappella group

The Tonto Community Concert Association and Live On Stage, Inc. present the Canadian a cappella group Cadence at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, April 7 at the Payson High School Auditorium.

Four men, four microphones, no instruments — this is the formula for Cadence.

Normally single tickets are $25 for TCCA concerts, however, the association is offering a “Pack the House” promotional price of $10 for each additional adult ticket. These specially priced tickets will only be available at the door (cash or check), beginning one hour before the concert. Children and students under the age of 18 are admitted at no charge when accompanied by a ticketed adult.

At the Cadence concert, the 2019-2020 season brochures will be available.

In addition, there will be a video presentation preview of the incredible lineup for the upcoming 41st season of the Tonto Community Concert Association.

Easter music devotional

A non-denominational Easter devotional, “I Know He Lives” is from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, April 15 at the Payson Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 913 S. Ponderosa St. All are invited and admission is free.
