Tonto Apache Healthcare

The Tonto Apache Tribe has opened a health clinic that is open to tribe members and the public.

Tonto Apache Council Chair Calvin Johnson and Vice Chair Charlie Lopez shared the news at the Oct. 5 joint meeting of the town councils of Payson and Star Valley and the leadership of the tribe.

At that same meeting, they said the clinic was open to the public and members of the Tonto Apache Tribe.

The Tonto Apache Healthcare Clinic, on the TAT Reservation, is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, according to Heather Armenta, LPN, WCC, IP.

It is a primary care facility that includes family oriented care; wellness exams; sports physicals; women’s wellness; lab and blood work-ups; medication management; and non-emergency outpatient care. The clinic also offers COVID-19 testing; referrals for diagnostics and therapies; and patient education.

Armenta said same-day appointments are available by calling 928-472-3906.
