Details for Georgia Burnside Tribute

Shop With A Hero

Georgia Burnside, beloved by all in
Payson, was a regular at Common
Grounds. When she passed away
last year, the coffee shop held a
fundraiser to honor her memory.
Her family simply asked that the
funds be put to good use, so for
months they searched for the perfect
tribute to her legacy and her heart
for the community.
“One day I was thinking about what
would best honor her memory,” said
Ashley Morris, Common Grounds
manager. “That’s when I thought
about giving it all back to the kids.
Georgia had a huge heart and the
best hugs. No matter what her
circumstances were,
she always gave
back, especially
when it came to
kids. So this year
we donated all of
the earnings from

the Common Grounds fundraiser to
Shop with a Hero. It allows the funds
to stay in Payson and give our local
kids a Christmas. Georgia Burnside
lives on in our hearts. I’m proud to
have called her my friend and she
is missed immensely.”
