The Pinal-Gila Council for Senior Citizens (PGCSC) is part of the Arizona State Health
Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP). SHIP Counselors are not insurance agents, they do not
sell or recommend or endorse any particular insurance product or company.
Medicare Open Enrollment begins on October 15, 2020, and ends December 7, 2020. During
this time, Medicare beneficiaries can compare coverage options like Original Medicare and
Medicare Advantage and choose health and drug plans for 2021.
Good News in Gila County! Gila County Medicare beneficiaries will have an additional
three (3) new Medicare Advantage Plans to choose from for 2021 with lower monthly
premiums and drug deductibles. In addition, several current Gila County plans offer lower
monthly premiums for 2021.The State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) Counselors provide
FREE objective, unbiased information and answer general Medicare questions, help people
understand available insurance options for 2021 and screen for Medicare Savings Programs
to help with out-of-pocket costs.
The ways in which we interact with people and deliver resources and services has been
impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, but we remain available.
SHIP Counselors will be available by phone and on a limited case by case basis in person
