HAVE YOU NOTICED LESS HOT WATER LATELY? Is it taking longer for your hot water tank to heat up again? Manufacturers of tank style water heaters (and tankless - keep an eye out for that tip in the future!) recommend annual flushing to remove sediment that has built up inside over time. These mineral and scale buildups can negatively effect the performance of your water heater. This flushing of your tank can be easily done by taking these steps: (1) Connect a garden hose to the outlet at the bottom of the tank. (2) With the tank still pressurized, open the drain valve. (3) Continuously run water through the hose for 10-15 minutes. (4) Close the valve and repeat next year! Follow us on Facebook for more tips and tricks! Payson Plumbing Solutions 928-595-0772
