The Banner High Country Seniors of Payson are hosting a program at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 12, with Michael Ward, R.N., on fall prevention, both indoors and outside.

Falls are the most common cause of traumatic brain injury. One in four Americans, 65 and older, falls each year. Every 11 seconds, an older adult is treated in the ER for a fall. Every 19 minutes, an older adult dies from a fall. Over 800,000 patients a year are hospitalized because of a fall, and 300,000 hospitalized with hip fractures.

Hear Ward’s tips on how not to fall. Call 928-596-4747 to attend.

Doc Talks are presented on Zoom Pro. To register, call High Country Seniors at 928-596-4747. Leave your name, phone contact number and email address. You will receive a link to the meeting in your email. No computer? No problem, you can attend Zoom meetings by phone.
