What type of storm are you currently going through? Do you feel as if the storm will overtake you at any moment and win in this emotional whirlwind of a battle?  This brings to my mind my dear, sweet father with his gentle voice and dancing eyes.

When growing up, he would often give me wise insights on life.  “There will be good days and there will be bad days living on this earth,” he would say. His mother, my grandmother, who experienced many storms in her life, gave this same advice to him. Being a widow with 10 children to raise in the 1930s and 1940s living in Mississippi, she definitely had her share of storms. My grandmother (one of my secret heroes) is still sharp as a tack at 90+ years of age, and her faith in God is stronger than ever before.
