Jacquelyn Oesterblad, a 2011 graduate of Payson High School, plans to attend Yale Law School this fall.

Oesterblad earned the National Merit Scholarship along with the Flinn scholarship as a senior at PHS. These scholarships (along with several othersshe earned while attending college) helped her to earn degrees in Middle Eastern Studies and Political Science from the University of Arizona in Tucson.

Since graduating from U of A Oesterblad has been teaching English and history - first for Basis Charter School and currently at Tucson Hebrew Academy.

She is the only child of Jerome and Nora Lubetz, both former teachers at Payson High

School.
