National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, April 27 at the east side parking lot of Walmart in Payson.

An initiative of the Drug Enforcement Administration, Take Back Day addresses a crucial public safety and public health issue. It aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.

Rim residents also have access to an ongoing opportunity to safely dispose of prescription drugs and supplements at the Payson Police Department, 303 N. Beeline Highway. It has a drop box in the entrance of the building with 24/7 access.
