A Veterans Benefits Resource meeting is planned from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 20 at Rim Country Health community room, 809 W. Longhorn Road.
The afternoon features several presentations:
• Rob Thompson, veteran’s benefits counselor with the Arizona Department of Veterans Services, will discuss appointment locations in Payson and Mesa, process, qualifications and what’s new that veterans need to know.
• Payson Veterans Advocacy Committee, Bud Huffman and Jim Muhr, will provide information on the Veterans Wall Tour in Payson, available medical equipment, a Town Hall in July, Purple Heart license plates and military academy applications.
• Veterans Helping Veterans, Shaggy and Quincy Aulisio, will discuss group therapy, claims, veteran’s benefits and steel structure homes.
•Honor Flights to Washington, D.C., Wayne Kirby, Arizona representative, will talk about applications, World War II, Korea and Vietnam veterans, Payson High School students and veterans.
