Don Lincoln Smith 1944-2019

Don Lincoln Smith went to be with the Lord on April 6, 2019. He was born in Garden City, KS January 2, 1944.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Silvia; sons, Jessie (Debbie) and Donnie; daughters, Glenda (Bobby), Treva and Jeannie; grandchildren, Paula (Casey) Joey (Jessica), Garrett (Reiley), Connor, Dakota (Rachael), Cheyenne, Joseph (Brenda); great-grandchildren, Clayton, Hailey, Hunter, Blythe, Sophia and Natalie; uncle and aunts Raymond, Adeline (Bob), Jackie (Lee) Janis (Tom), Earl (Lois) and Max (Marjorie); brothers-in-law, Charlie (Caroline), Fernando (Betty); sister-in-law, Ruby; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Don owned Custom S Welding from 1984 to present. He and his wife started the “Tamales for Toys” Toy Drive and continued for 14 years so children 5 to 12 years old could have new toys for Christmas each year. Don and Silvia provided all the tamales. Family and friends helped put on the annual toy drive. He was a member of the Payson First Church of the Nazarene. Don was a member of the NRA, and the Tonto Rim Sports Club.

Services will be May 4, 2019, 9:00 a.m. at Payson First Church of the Nazarene, with a celebration of life at 1:00 p.m. at Custom S Welding, 403 W. Oxbow Trail, Payson.
