Louanne Weide, January 12, 1950 – June 23, 2019

Louanne Weide, age 69, passed to her eternal home with Jesus on Sunday, June 23, 2019. She was born in Duluth, MN on January 12, 1950 to Arlan and Val Stohre.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Carl Weide, her daughter Anna and her husband, Pete Leonard, her son Aaron and his wife Christi, six grandchildren (Micah, Makenna, Andrew, Matthew, Emily, and Mandi), four siblings (Dale Stohre, Lynne Stohre, Laurel Powell, Mark Stohre), and a host of family and friends that will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She attended Bethel College in St Paul, MN and graduated from Arizona College of the Bible in Phoenix, AZ where she met and then married Carl Weide. Together they served churches in Ray IN, Butte Falls OR, and more than 37 years at the Strawberry Chapel in the Pines, Strawberry, AZ.

She loved to sing and play the piano and organ, entertain family, friends & strangers, and served in many administrative and supporting roles at the Strawberry Chapel. She was a loving wife and mother, grandmother without compare, faithful sister, dedicated friend, lover of Jesus, a light in the room, and a servant to anyone she ever met. Her joy and laughter was irresistible.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday at 1PM at the Strawberry Chapel of the Pines, located at 8579 Fossil Creek Rd, Strawberry, AZ 85544. In lieu of flowers, any memorial gift for Louanne should be given in her name to Strawberry Chapel at PO Box 1054, Pine, AZ 85544, or Hospice Compassus at 511 S Mud Springs Road, Payson, AZ, 85541.
