Zoren H. Edison 1942-2019

Taps for Retired Staff Sargent Zoren H. Edison. 76, of Tonto Basin, AZ, passed on Friday, March 01, 2019. Zoren was a beloved brother, father and grandfather. He was a sincere friend and credible patriot who loved his country. Zoren was the fourth child of five children to Zed and Zita Edison Jr of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. His record book reveals a most rewarding tenure. He participated in the Cuban Emergency in 1962 and in 1967 was assigned to South Vietnam where he participated in numerous operations and was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received in combat, as well as a Bronze Star for services unknown. He spent his later years as a general contractor.

He is survived by siblings Zoe Ann Edison and Zed Edison III, daughter Yvette Sandoval and husband Fernando Sandoval, grandchild Fernando A. Sandoval and Briana Sandoval. Memorial will be held at Messinger Payson Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 12th at 2pm; reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Tonto Basin Public Library.
