Disappointed with bank
I am writing this letter to complain about the lack of common sense and poor customer service from the management of Chase Bank located in Payson.
My wife’s grandmother passed away early in the month of April 2019. The grandmother’s daughter who is over 70 years old flew in from the state of Alabama to take care of the estate since she was named the executor in the will. The poor lady worked her heart out preparing the funeral and taking care of the estate, not even having time to grieve.
When she finally got the death certificate, the management of Chase did what they do best, make things as difficult as possible. They would not release monies to pay bills or beneficiaries of the will because the daughter’s driver’s license has expired by a few days, even though the state of Alabama has a 90-day grace period.
This was not the first time the management of Chase showed poor judgment. When the grandmother, who was 94 years old, and in the hospital, they would not help her on the telephone but told her she would have to come to the bank in person.
Now they are making the daughter fly to Alabama and back, costing at least $1,000 to get her money out of the bank.
How amazing Chase Bank was when they needed the American taxpayer to bail them out of debt.
We all need to patronize smaller banks and send a strong message to Chase.
