Fishing Festival flop

Editor:

I took my grandchildren to the Fishing Festival this past Saturday. It was a wonderful day, but not nearly as many people attended as in past years. Between the three of us, we didn’t get as much as a bite.

This early morning (Monday) about 7 a.m., two days after the Fishing Festival, I was walking my dog at Green Valley Park and saw the trout truck unloading a boatload of trout into the lake. Wouldn’t you think that the people in charge of the Fishing Festival would have better communication with the trout stocking folks, so the trout would be placed into the lake right before the event and not right after it?
