Rim Country residents can speak with Arizona Game & Fish Department Commissioners during their meeting at Quality Inn in Payson, 801 N. Beeline Highway, on Friday, June 7. The meeting starts at 8 a.m.

This is your chance to speak directly to the commissioners on any AZGFD topics you wish to discuss. The call to the public happens first, so get there early to fill out a speaker’s card. The agenda is available at azgfd.gov. You may request to speak to the commission on any topic addressed during the meeting.

One of the first items on the agenda is awarding Payson’s own Jim Strogen with a Commission Commendation.

“Dr. Strogen does an enormous amount for the Rim Country conservation and youth education,” said AZGFD Commissioner James Goughnour.
